When I discovered this old photo postcard of school children, I found it endearing. I thought it more unusual of the children sitting on the split rail fence and others kneeling in the foreground. I am sure this was from a one-room school from the different ages of the children.
Written on the back of the card is the name "Liberal School". It was found with a number of other things indicating the school was located in Liberal, Oregon. Dating in the early 1900's. Condition of the card is good with minor handling usage.
Notice the boy sitting in the front row on the ground with his baseball glove.
Charming postcard, isn't it?
