This is a lovely belt buckle slide and matching dress pin from the Art Nouveau period of the Edwardian era. The silver wash over brass metal set, incorporates a flowing movement of a lady's head and clusters of grapes with leaves, curving delightful around each piece.
A patina of rubbed silver, shows the highlights of the embossed brass beneath, giving it a lovely time-worn look. The belt buckle or slide is the largest of the two pieces, measuring 4-7/8" long x 2" wide, at the widest point. The pin measures 3-1/2" long x 1-3/8" wide, at the widest point.
Condition of each are good. Being of brass, the metal is soft, so you may find a slight tweak. Definitely the straight pin securing the dress pin is tweaked. It is the only flaw that I can certainly say I see.
Suitable for imaginative artistic design.
