I can't wait, and already saving the date, for next year to attend  the Heart Of Country, Fiddlers and Music Valley Country Antique Shows held in Nashville, Tn.  The three shows are held in conjunction with each other every February around Valentine's Day.   If you are a collector of country primitives, wow, this should be a "must" on your list.

In spite of the horrible weather across the south and the north a week ago, Nashville manage to escape with only cold temperatures of about 38 degrees during show time.  Another wow!  Being from Southern California, the temperature were more frigid than I care to have.  Still, the show must go on, and on it did.

It is so hard to believe, one can still find spectacular antique pieces from furniture to smalls to fabulous textiles.  The choices are many as well as varied.  As I have a love of textiles, this is my main focus.  So, I am sharing a tidbit of  things I found.....

Love the vibrant colors of this early 1900's vintage quilt top.  Reds, black, blue ~ lots of pretty colors.

Black and brown leather children's shoes dating from the late Victorian / Edwardian era.  The shoes would fit a child about the age of 9 or 10.

As I unpack the findings from the Nashville show, I'll be sure to share more on The Gatherings Antique Vintage.
