I love this dress! It has been in my own collection for many years but time to let go so hope someone else enjoys it as much as I have. The hand stitched dress dating from the Civil War era, is made of a double pink calico fabric. Many of our Civil War and Victorian era adult and children's fashions are perfect for your re-enactment and renaissance era costuming needs.  Please visit our store, The Gatherings Antique Vintage, for clothing and accessories.

The Dress:  tiny piping around the neckline, sleeve/shoulder area, as well as the bottom and top of waistband, along with the tiny gathers at the center front of the bodice, accents the dress. Finely executed cartridge pleats gathers the skirt to the waistband. Puff sleeves with sleeve band trimmed in a braid. Hidden muslin pocket at the side seam in the skirt.  This is a kick!   Bodice, including waist band, is lined in muslin, as is a band on the inside of hem line. Hook and eye fastens the back of dress from the neck through the waist band.

Measurements: 30" long from the neckline to the hem. 10-1/2" across from shoulder to shoulder. 21" around the chest. 19" around the waist.

Condition: As with the age of the dress, there are some minor flaws. A tiny bit of wear to the fabric on the front of waist band. Some small oxidation spots.

Although this dress has been sold, isn't it wonderful though.  Too pretty not to share.
