Dating from the 1930's or 1940's, a navy bakelite dress belt buckle. Inside opening surrounding the bakelite, is trimmed in shiny metal. This trim is attached to the bakelite with four small studs.
Although nice, there are some surface scratches to the metal housing and also to the bakelite. This is more evident when held to the light. Still minor, in my opinion.
The buckle is rather a square oval in shape, measuring 2" in length and 1-1/2" wide.
