A woman's knit wool bathing suit swimwear from the late 1920's or 1930's. The swimwear is styled with a skirt attached over the boxer shorts. Stitching detail on the front of the bodice, designed in a fan shape, provides an interesting accent.
Flat rings, in a white plastic secure the shoulder straps, which crisscross the back, looping through a button hole, to tie at the back of waist. Or as I have shown tying at the waist front.
The suit is a dark navy blue. The Bradley label is sewn on the underside of underskirt. Size tag inside suit is 40.
Measurements: 31" long from about the middle of the shoulder strap to the hem. (straps would adjust). 32" bust. 28" waist. Hips: 32", 15-1/2" long from the center back to the middle of the crotch. I would guess the size is about a small to medium.
Condition: although has been worn, the suit still is in good condition with only a couple tiny holes in the wool.
