Here's a charming small doll hat from the vintage year of 1912.  Hand written note attached say it is crocheted by Aunt Anne 1912. It is hand crochet with raffia straw in colors of cream, brown and rust. It is a brimmed hat with a narrow crown to fit a smaller doll.

Maybe Aunt Anne delighted her neice with this small token? 

Diameter of the hat is 3-3/4" wide.  Height of the crown is 1/2" height.  Width of the brim is 1" wide.  Circumference of inside crown is 3-1/2". I'm thinking this may fit a doll about 5" to 6" in height.  

Condition:  Some loops of the straw are broken, which forms a small hole, in one area of the brim. Can be seen in first photo.  Probably could be mended.  Otherwise good.....and cute!
