Now here is a cute 1880's children dress in a blue chambray cotton fabric. This darling style is a toddler size so may also be suited for a larger doll.
Dress is made with a "V" shaped collar, edged in white rick rack, it ends at the first ruffle of the dropped waist skirt. Two other ruffles form the lower part of the skirt. Neck line is also edged in rick rack. Sleeves are long and straight. Dress fastens with pearl buttons hidden on one side under the long lapel. Back is fitted with three seams. A typical construction for a dress from this period. Treadle machine sewn.
Freshly laundered and in lovely condition. You may find a tiny hole or two which is not out of the ordinary. Only one little dot of oxidation on the edge of a ruffle. The only one I found.
Size: 20" long from the neck line to the hem. 9" across from shoulder to shoulder. 20" around the chest. Natural waist is 20" around.
