Dating from the 1930's or 1940's. A pair of home sewn Depression era hot pad pot holders. In the shape of a chicken, the old vintage holders are made of a flower print fabric. Possibly even of feed, flour sacking material.
Bone rings at the end of the tail feathers for easy hanging. Thick padding of cotton. Rather simple but utterly charming, these cozy pads could lift the lid of a pot or handle of kettle.
Size is 8-1/4" long x 2-3/4" wide through the center.
Condition: Good. Appear they have never been used.
