Just for dolly's bed, a neat patchwork doll quilt, dating from the late Victorian into the early 1900's. A small size scale, the quilt is made of solid blue and a red with black print calico sewn into 1-1/4" blocks. The red with black fabric is also chosen for the border.
Blue and white plaid homespun material is used for the backing. It is machine stitched on a treadle machine. Simple straight sewing lines, spaced every 3-1/2", secures the front of quilt to the backing.
The size of the quilt measures 17" long x 15-1/4" wide. Condition is good, although not recently laundered.
