A lovely huck towel from the early part of the 1900's which was part of an Italian trousseau. The monogram is a beautiful fanciful scroll embroidery of I believe E D A. but perhaps I have that wrong. Regardless the letters are quite nice. One row of hem stitching below the monogram.
And a lovely machine cotton trim edge. The lace work appears on the one end of the towel only. The other end is plain with just the one row of hem stitching. Width of the lace is 3-1/4" wide.
The size of the towel is 27" wide x 37-1/2" wide. including the lace trim. Excellent condition. Freshly laundered & ironed.
