A lovely baby bonnet in whitework embroidery of fine needle workmanship. Dating from the early part of the 1800's the bonnet is embroidered on muslin. Pretty pattern detail on the back of the crown. Many of our items are more than suitable for childrens re-enactment or renaissance accessories.
Measurement along the neckline of the bonnet is 8-7/8" from side to side. Measurement along the face area side to side is 12-3/4".
Condition is very nice ~ almost perfect, however, two tiny breaks or frays to the fabric at the embroidery near one of the front corners of the bonnet. Slight yellowing from storage.
With a little imagination, all of our antique and vintage children's clothing makes perfect accessories for re-enactment or renaissance costuming, or photography work.
