From the early 1900's, Edwardian era, a pillow cover embroidered in autumn leaves. Fall saying "In The Golden Autumn", the cover is worked in society silk embroidery thread on a stencil tinted background of a tan cotton.
Backing is also of a slightly different tan color in a muslin fabric. Although finished with the back fabric, for whatever reason, the embroidery at the center of the leaves were never finished. Only the outside edge. We can only guess.
Size of the cover is 20" x 21".
Condition: The top of the pillow has a couple small oxidation marks. Back has some slight soiling. Neither are distractions.
A wonderful old cover for your home decor.
