Here's a beautiful hand creation of lovely embroidery needlework ~ a round centerpiece table doily dating from the early 1900 to 1920. It is 30-1/2" in diameter, including the 2" wide scallop crochet trim, which further embellishes the doily. The motif is worked on a linen damask in stylized scrolled trumpet or lily floral design. Raised padded stitches and plenty of french knots. The trumpet flowers about 6" in length at the point they split to the next. This will give you an idea of the size of the motif. The embroidery is worked on a damask featuring three leaf clovers.
Straight from the linen closet, it appears it has never been used nor ever laundered. It is being sold as it was found with a few dots of oxidation from storage. Otherwise...lovely.
