Unused, uncut from the excess fabric, finished embroidered, table doily from the early part of the 1900's, Edwardian era. A lovely stamped tinted needlework of strawberries in a circular pattern.
Pattern is printed 4-95. Worked on a tan cotton or cotton/linen fabric with a slight glaze. The edging is scalloped, with groups of colored embroidery thread laid along the edge to form the border design.
A couching stitch, in black, secures the threads What a lovely attractive piece.
Size is 19-1/2" diameter across the center of the doily, itself.
