Of days past, children delighted receiving candy in paper mache eggs. Today the most sought after eggs are the ones marked Germany. The graphics of this 1920's candy container, features a boy and girl, she holding a rabbit, he directing the choir of singing animals. Animals include two dogs, goose, duck and a rooster. The same lithograph is on both sides of the egg. Marked Germany on the inside.
Condition: Both halves fit tightly together. There's some loss of the paper doily around the inside of lid. Please note, too, one of the paper points, edging the outside of the lid is missing. Not the entire edging but just one point. Of course, the egg has been handled but not any other damage than noted.
