A vintage, Asian influence hand held folding fan from the Edwardian to 1920's era. A lovely hand painted paper fan with decorated wooden sticks. Design of the paper is flower blossoms, in a soft pink color tone, rising from clouds and a teal blue sea.
Decorative gold leafing, on an ivory background, accents the borders of the paper. The white wood sticks are also painted with a gold leaf accent. Brass finger loop and tassel completes this pretty fan.
Measurement: Opened the fan is 18" along the arch of the top, from side to side. Width is 8-1/2" wide. (not including the brass finger loop, which is 1".
Condition: As with the natural of paper, although flaws are minor, there is some damage. 3/4" tear of paper on the end stick plus a few pin hole dots, here and there, which can be seen when held to the light. Otherwise not or hardly visible.
