A Victorian black silk tassel embellishment for a mourning dress, coat or cloak. Top of the tassel is knotted /braided in a flat design, then attached to the long strands.
Length of the tassel is 9-1/2" long from top to bottom. Width across the top is 1-3/4".
Condition is good, although has been removed from a garment.
