Now here's a sweet early 1900's doll bed quilt. Made of double pink calico, 2 shades of blue including cadet and a faded red on white fabric. Backing of the quilt is a gray and white ticking stripe. The quilt consist of four 9 patch blocks, with each little square measuring 1" square. The size of the completed block is 3-1/4" square. The quilt is sashed with solid double pink calico blocks, one a complete 3-1/4" block, with the others in triangle shapes. All are set on a diamond grid. Each end of the oblong quilt is a muslin, taking on its own time-worn patina. The binding edge is the same muslin fabric, machine stitched to the front of quilt, turned and hand stitched on the back.
The overall size of the doll quilt is 9-1/4 x 13-1/4". The quilting is treadle machine sewn in straight and diagonal lines.
Condition is good. No holes. A nice warm patina from time.
