Dating from the 1850's to 1880's, a sewing ditty or seed bag in a calico fabric. The completely hand stitched bag is made of a tan with a small print stripe fabric. On either side button holes are finished with overcasted stitches to secure the drawstrings.
Condition of the bag is good with only minimum damage of a couple pin holes and some oxidation soiling. Size of the ditty bag is 7-1/8" long x 7-1/4" wide.
A great Americana piece from the 19th Century.
