A California Flower Bead chocker necklace dating from the 1920's. The black rose necklace was found in the original paper covered gift box. A nice graphic box of roses, plus other variety of flowers, decorate the lid only.
All in soft colors of pinks, purple, green, and yellow on a gold metallic background. Inside the lid is the history of the California flower beads. This particular box is stamped Raymond Walby, Millersville, Ohio. More than likely the jewelry store which sold these flower bead necklaces.
Although the necklace is cream in color, the box is marked black rose chocker. Brass engraved clasp to fasten. Length of the necklace is 7-3/4" in length. This is the length - not the circumference. Please double the length for the circumference, if you need to know.
Condition of necklace and box are very nice. No flaws to either that I found.
