A very sweet young girl's white pinafore apron dating from the early 1900's, Edwardian era. The scoop neck, front and back, is embellished with narrow pin tucks and a wide eyelet lace ruffle. The fabric is a batiste cotton. Very full with a one patch pocket on the front and open back which pinned close. A row of drawn thread at the hem line. A very cute style but not without its problems as you can see. Loved and worn, it has a large mended area on the front at the hem. It also has several other holes where mended with a patch, but now missing. To those of us, we would find endearing. Nevertheless, I tried to price accordingly.
Length of the apron is 26"long, from the shoulder seam to the hem. 8" across the shoulders, not including the 2-1/2" wide ruffle at the neck.
Condition as mentioned. Does have oxidation storage spots.
