
From school days past, a 1930 to 1950 children wooden pencil box. (probably pine, unfinished) The slide lid features a lithograph paper graphic of three winter scenes.
First of Santa with his pack over his back, The second graphic scene is a group of elves, one with reindeer, one shoveling snow and the third standing in doorway of his home. The last graphic scene is an elf pulling a sled with animal riding.
The sliding lid has a thumb slot for opening and closing the lid. Although the box is rectangle, the inside is oval in shape. It was found with several pencils inside.
The box is 9-1/4" long x 1-5/8" wide x 3/4" tall.
Condition: minor flaws of normal handling including some smudge marks on the wood and tiny indents of the wood.
