An adorable vintage glass framed lithograph print of a little girl dressed in Stars and Stripes costume. How more American or patriotic could this be? Love her red, white stripe costume, with a field of stars, trimming the shoulder of the dress and edge of hat.
The print is matted with an oval brown matt, with the four corners printed in an inked design of an Art Nouveau style. The mat and little girl suggest the print dates from the Edwardian period. The print, I believe, is in the original wood picture frame, although it may have been removed from the frame, at some point. Or at very least, the cardboard backing and nails have been replaced.
The 8 x 10-1/4" black wood frame has brass metal escutcheon, in a scroll design, at each of the four corners.
Condition is good with only normal wear to the wood frame. Brass is tarnished on the escutcheons. A bubble in the original glass.
