Dating from the Edwardian to 1920's era, an adorable twisted wire doll bed with small celluloid baby.  The 2-3/4" doll has been hand dressed in knitted undershirt, bib or collar, edged with trim.  An open back long skirt trimmed, at the hem with novelty trim and a cloth diaper.

Doll has painted facial features. The little doll sleeps on a hand made muslin mattress and pillow.  More than likely stuffed with sawdust.  No marking on the baby as to manufacture, at least that is obvious.

This sweet little darling sleeps on a wire bed, which is 5-1/4"length.  Crossed side rails to keep the baby safe.  The wire of the foot and head are twisted in an pointed arch shape.  Bottom of bed are two wires crossed in an X to hold the mattress. Height of the ends of the bed, to the pointed arch, are 3-1/2" tall.  Width is 2-1/2" wide.

All original from a child's doll house or play room.

Condition is very nice.  Tiny surface rust to the wire, but minor.  Yellowing to the clothes and bedding.  Celluloid of the doll is quite nice.  Possibly a bit of soiling but again minor.
