A pair of vintage hand made millinery flowers for hat trimming. Dating from the late Edwardian teens to the early 1920's. The pair, made of a silk rayon fabric, shaped, wired and dipped into a solution to stiffened, is embellished with one large fabric leaf. The flowers are a color of golden toast and a lighter peach shade. Lovely, the pair would have been elegant on a special occasion hat.
Size of each flower is about 2-1/2" in diameter. 5" across in width together.
Condition: Not without flaws but for the fragile nature, quite good. The toast color flower does have some some breaks in a couple of petals. One small split of fabric of the peach. Still, I would consider remarkably good and rather a rare find.
