Ahoy there Matey! Ah, ain't she a beauty! This fetching lass of a buccaneer could certainly turn a few heads poised on top of her casket of bounty. The vintage gift or presentation box is of cardboard covered with the paper wrap of a pirate motif. Only the lid of the box is covered with the paper. The remainder of the box is white card.
Although not sure I would guess the gift box to be from the 1920's.
As the paper wraps around the edge of the box, on either of the long sides are cut out "thumb holds" to pull the two parts of the box apart.
The gift box measures 6-3/4" long x 4-3/4" wide x 1" in height. No contents inside the box.
Condition is very nice although not perfect, as it does have some normal handling over the years. As you notice a tiny bit of paper tear around the
"thumb holes" on the side of box. A tiny bit of paper loss on the corners and a small dent in box near the pirate's guantlets. A couple of creases on bottom of box.
Looking for a gift box to wrap a "buried treasure" or want to add to a emphemra collection? Look no further.
