Mothers and grandmothers, of generations past, spent many leisure hours creating "pretties" with needlework. They have left us a legacy of their handiwork. This vintage 1920's or 1930's napkin holder case is one such pretty.
Made of blue cotton fabric, the scalloped edge is embroidered in button hole stitch. Embroidered on one corner is the word "Napkins" and on an opposite corner a stem of daisies. All embroidery work is done in white.
More than likely the case has never been used, perhaps even given as a gift, then stored away. Condition is very nice.
Size of the pointed case is 9" square when the points are folded over. The case would probably hold about a dozen luncheon size napkins
