A vintage 1930's printing of Hitty, Her First Hundred Years, Storybook.  (book is December 1930 printing).  Written by Rachel Field and Illustrated by Dorothy P.Lathrop.  Published by the MacMillan Company, New York.  Inside page is inscribed with the name of Louise Bacon, 1930. Plus other writing.

An exciting story of the adventures of Hitty, a wooden doll made from a piece of mountain-ash wood,  It is a lively story of Hitty's memoirs, as she recounts traveling from place to place and then returning to familiar surroundings.

Condition:  As you note from photos of the cover, there is definitely sun fading where it sat on a bookshelf.  Plus the normal handling of the book, although minimum, there is some.  Inside pages are very nice.  All intact with no tears or markings.  A decent book but not perfect.
