Wow! Look at this from a time past, a vintage men's formal wear dress shirt for that special evening ocassion.
This great old collarless men's shirt, with its starch stiff bib front, is in a today's more wearable size. Dates from the late Victorian Edwardian era. It has a Monarch trademark label. Size is 16-1/2" . Other numbers associated with the label are 32 and No 1. All marked inside the shirt.
The shirt front bib would have closed with three studs buttons. The partial open back closes with another stud at the back of the neck. The sleeve cuffs also fastened with button studs. No studs included with the garment nor any collar.
Made of white cotton, the shirt has not been recently cleaned. Condition is good for the age with only a small amount of staining and the usual pin dot holes one would expect, although this shirt has little.
Measurements. From the neck line to the hem it is 35" long. Shoulder to shoulder 18-1/2" across. 48" around the chest. Sleeve length is 22" long. Cuff opening is 9" around.
