From the Victorian era, a pincushion handmade in a cluster of three strawberries. Made of a linen fabric, perhaps a homespun, in a tan color with the stem and leaves manipulated with cream silk ribbon. Each point of the ribbon is secured with a black glass pin. The bottom of the strawberry is also decorated with these same pins. Berries filled with sawdust making them very firm. The three berries were at one time secured together with this same ribbon but alas, as with silk, the ties have deteriorated. Also a tiny bit on the stems. You will also notice some oxidation soiling of the fabric from years of storage. Still a wonderful necessity for sewing needs.
Each strawberry is 3" from the top to the point at the bottom. 2" width in diameter across the top.
