Love this wonderful old hat in the delightful weave of straw.  This millinery treat dates from the 1920's or 1930's. A narrow brown velvet ribbon, terminating in bows, secures the artificial flower on either side. 

The bloom suggest the flowers are poppies, in shades of light and darker salmon pink.  Faille ribbon on the inside of crown and a elastic band to secure under the hair.

Condition is very nice for the age. Some soiling around the faille ribbon on inside of the crown.

It is 13" in diameter with the crown 2" high.  The width of the brim is 3" wide and is completely covered in folded veiling (feel like cotton) on top of the straw.
