A Victorian, late 1890's or early 1900's, black cotton petticoat or slip undergarment, suitable for Gothic or Steampunk wear. Although most of the petticoat is simple black fabric, the hem line is more showy. It features two layers of fabric, the under one is edged with a narrow black ruffle.
The outer layer is edged with two rows of narrow ruffles. The narrow ruffles measure 1-3/4" wide Narrow black silk ribbon further accents the division between the body of the petticoat and the ruffled hem. Back opening, closing with hook and eye at the waist band.
Length of the petticoat is 37-1/2" long. 25" around the waist.
Condition: A few pin holes to the fabric, as to expected. Nothing of a serious nature. About 4 inches of the silk ribbon shows some botchy white marks. Overall condition is good.
