Lovely for a romantic, cottage or Victorian bedroom decor, this beautiful home sewn flat bed sheet with a sheet return, or overlap. from the later Victorian era.  Embroidered and monogrammed at the top the width across, from side to side.  Monogrammed with letters D J. 

A soft motif of scrolls and simple flowers, the thread is a white, creamy yellow and pink on the white cotton sheeting fabric.

Height of the monogram is 15" tall and is situated in the center, near the top of the sheet.  Each of the two corners of the sheet return features a pretty design extending 21" in height.   Overall size of the sheet is 108" W x 124" L.  A nice border of 5" wide Swiss eyelet accents the one edge, then extending at either side the 44" of the sheet return.

Although not recently laundered, it is relatively clean.  It should be freshened again as I noticed a couple dots of oxidation and some yellowing along the fold in storage.  Even though the condition remains good the sheet was used and the the embroidered thread colors have faded to a nice soft pastel from past washings. A tiny bit of wear to the scallop Swiss edging but minor.
