Decorate your bedroom with this gorgeous home sewn bed sheet from the Victorian era. Made of a quality cotton ~ possible metis (a blend of cotton and linen). This lovely sheet is trimmed with whitework embroidered eyelet plus 8 rows of tuckwork across the top, from side to side, and 44" down either side, to form the sheet return.
Corners have been mitered. The width of this beautiful whitework including the tucks measures 8" wide. The beauty and precision of the workmanship would not be a disappointment.
A generous size, the sheet is 108" wide x 118" long.
Condition: It has never been used as I found some numbers written in pencil and of course never laundered. So it does have age related discoloration from storage. A good soaking should release the stains. You may have your own remedies for cleaning. I find Quilt soap or Orvus laundry cleaner (available at Walmart or Amazon) to be very effective.
Looking beyond the needed cleaning this bed sheet is stunning.
