A late Victorian child's dress in a challis fabric of dark blue.  The fabric is printed with a pink and white flower cluster.  The dress buttons to the waist with four brown vegetable ivory buttons.  Construction of the dress features a rounded neck line trimmed in blue silk.  3/4 length sleeves are trimmed with a small ruffle.  The dress is made on a yoke, both front and back.  The lower part of the bodice is gathered and ruffled at the upper part.  This is attached to the yoke.  The bottom of the bodice is attached to the waist band, with one of the buttons fastening the waist.  Skirt is full with two ruffles at the hem.  Inside of the dress yoke is lined in brown lining material.  The lower part of the bodice and sleeves are lined in a brown calico print.  Skirt has no lining.  

The dress is a small size so would be very suitable for a larger doll.  Measurement from the neck line to hem is 20".  Across from shoulder to shoulder:  9-1/2".  Sleeve length:  6-1/2" long.  Chest:  18-1/2" around.  Waist:  17" around.   

Condition is very nice, although you may find a pin dot hole, which would be common for the age.
