Wow! Look at this gorgeous hand worked bolster pillow cover topper or sheet return to decorate your bed. From the late Victorian or Edwardian era, this piece is a classic. In unused condition, the bed linen features a combination of hand crochet trim and fancy pulled thread drawnwork.
The width of the cover is 37" wide, including the 5" wide crochet work. Drawn insertion is 1-1/4" wide. The crochet edging is on three sides. The top edge is selvage. This will fit a standard /full bed. Length across, from side to side is 78". Fabric is of a very high quality cotton. More than likely a metis.
As mentioned it could be used either as a bolster topper to cover bed pillows or underneath pillows as a sheet return. See photos for the different style of usage.
Condition: Unused, never laundered. Does show some slight oxidation marks from long period of storage.
