A late Victorian, early 1900's child's creamy white mohair cap winter bonnet. Oh so, teddy bear soft! Interesting styled pointed cap, lined in a cream flannel. Framing the face area, sewn to the inside edge, a braid edged with narrow mohair - like short fringe.
This fringe is mostly gone. The ribbon ties are also gone and would need to be replaced if wanted. Condition of the mohair is very nice except for one small spot missing the fur at the back seam line. This area is about an inch. Otherwise I would say the mohair to be in excellent condition. Some staining to the inside lining.
Size: 16" around the face area, from side to side. 10" along the back of the neck from side to side. The back seam is 12" to the pointed peak of hat.
