A late Victorian or early 1900's camisole. It is unworn, made of muslin, with rows of tucks and outstanding turkey red braid trims. It buttons completely down the front. Embroidered on either side of the front opening are the iintials of P.V.
Also, along with the redwork trim, pretty pearl buttons and embroidered initials, the accent of tuckwork gives nice detailing to the camisole . Size is more generous compared to most garments of this time period. The bust is 40". Length from the neckline to hem in the front is 19" long. A bit shorter center back, 15-1/2" long. Waist is 30" around.
Condition is very nice, however, with storage it does show signs of oxidation from storage. All would launder out.
