A late Victorian or early 1900's home sewn bed sheet with lovely wide eyelet trimming. Made of a metis fabric, which is a blend of linen and cotton. Looking for a decorating statement for a Victorian romantic cottage bedroom? This lovely sheet would be a charming mix.
The eyelet is sewn across the top edge of the sheet extending down the two long sides, 47-1/4", to form the sheet return.
The eyelet, with its pretty motif, has a scallop edge. The width of the eyelet is 5-1/4"wide. Overall size of the sheet is 88" wide x 97-1/2" long, including the eyelet edging. If you note from one of the photos it is home sewn on a treadle machine.
Condition: Although not recently laundered, it is clean. Usage is minimal, if at all. It does have a small repair (appears to have gotten caught) on one of the sheet return sides. (see photo). Otherwise very nice.
