Another adorable Victorian piece of doll clothing and matching hat. Dating from the early 1900's or Edwardian era, the outfit consist of a blouse, or perhaps it is a dress. It would be long enough, although no hem. Regardless it is simple but cute.
Made of a white cotton muslin or voile fabric, the garment has long full sleeves and a pleated neck line accented at the yoke with gathered blue ribbon. The cuff of one sleeve is finished with a strand of beads. None on the other cuff. The little flat brimmed hat is made from a white pique or buckram. Shaped and stitched to resemble a hat, it is decorated with chiffon, fabric flowers and a small metal filigree ornamentation.
Size of this little outfit is 3" long from the neck line to hem. 1-1/4" across from shoulder to shoulder 4" around the chest, 1-3/4" long sleeve. Hat: 2" diameter.
Condition: Some oxidation on the hat and missing the beads at the one cuff is the only thing I see. Very cute.
