From the late Victorian or Edwardian era, a lady's white cotton dotted swiss fabric summer skirt. The skirt has a series of vertical pin tucks, 2-1/2" long, completely around the waist, A group of three wide tucks in the body of the skirt.
Attach is a very wide flounce with shirring and another group of three tucks. The hem is completed with still another three tucks. The waist band has been expanded and reworked to fit a larger person although nicely done. Back opening with two hook and eye closing below the waist. No closing on the waist.
With the remodeling of the waist band, the skirt is quite wearable today. It measures 40" around around the waist. Length of skirt is 37-1/2" long from waist band to hem.
Condition: Waist band reworked. A few tiny to smaller holes in the fabric. No major damage. Skirt is clean
Lots of yardage in the skirt so would be suitable for doll dress making, too.
