Dating from about the Victorian 1890's, a framed lithograph printed paper motto "God Bless Our Home". A trail of pansies and fern off set the motto verse on the one side. Printed on a background of black, the motto is quite striking. Print still remains in its original gold leaf frame. Original glass, too. Size of the frame, including print, is 18" x 13-1/2"wide. Thickness is 1" wide.
The back of the frame has a wooden backing, however, part of the wood has been lost, leaving the print to be exposed. From exposure, the print does have a tear about 1-1/2" long. This is at the top of the print. Also, some lost of paper along the border. Most is hidden by the frame. Even the tear really doesn't show from the front.
The frame has some discoloration, on the gold leaf at the bottom from spillage, I assume. Also, tape has been used to hold the print in the frame where the wood backing is missing.
