Dating from the later Victorian era, 1860 to 1890, an embossed paper lace valentine made from scraps. A verse is pasted inside on the back page. A sweet sentimental treasure from a time past.
The early valentine looks to have been pasted into a scrap book and then removed as the back does have some damage. No names or any information available.
Condition: considering the age, the front of the valentine is good. One small tear at the top. Back of valentine does have paper attached and a mend when removed from a scrap book.
Size is 3-1/4" x 4-3/4".
