A school girl ABC practice stitchery sampler from the early 1900's, or late 1890's. The stitchery consist of the alphabet in two different font styles, plus numbers from 1 to 10. A beautiful monogram in the letters J. M. are situated at the bottom. In either lower corner, a cluster of flowers are embroidered in white.
Scallop buttonhole stitch in blue edges the 10-1/4" x 13-1/4" sampler. As you note: Some of the letters of the alphabet have been omitted.
