From the later 1880's - 1890's, Victorian era, a sterling handled strawberry sewing emory. This little gem measurers 3-1/4" long, from the tip of the strawberry to the pointed tip of the handle. A pretty repousse handle with beading and scroll work. Marked sterling at the edge of the beading. Filled with emory, the fabric of the strawberry is cotton or linen/cotton blend. The tiny "seeds" are stitched with a yellow thread. Condition of the fabric is very nice with no holes or stains. Appropriate wear to the handle as to be expected with no breaks or dents.
A fab piece to add to a sewing collection.
