Here's a cute fashion for a little boy from a time period past. Dating from the later 1930's or early 1940's, the cotton play togs, rompers or shortalls, were perfect for a spring and summer season of play.
The white shirt with blue stripes, features a square shaped neck line. Buttoning off center with small white pearl buttons stitched with blue thread. A neat and pleasing contrast. The other side of the shirt features a patch pocket. The short navy pants button to the waist of the shirt. Slash pockets on either side of the pants.
Label on the shirt is Kaynee Oliver Twist. Size 5
Measurements: 20-1/2" long from the neck line to the hem of pants. 11-1/2" across from shoulder to shoulder. 24" around the chest. 22" around the waist. 24" around the hips. Center back at the waist to the center of the crotch is 9-1/2" long.
Condition: Outfit has been worn with some fading to the navy from repeated washing. However, still very nice. The outfit has not been recently laundered so does have a few tiny oxidations marks on the white shirt. No more than a couple of dots.
Very cute for photography or special event.
