Here's a vintage 1930's embroidered on linen center piece doily or tablecloth that would fit with today's decorating scheme of the ever popular colors of black, gray and white. The 30" round doily, with a flora and leaf scroll motif, is embroidered in a padded satin stitch in white floss.
Four quadrants around the outside edge features flora (in white floss) with an outline stitch in a darker gray. Hand edged with a narrow crochet trim completes the cloth.
The cloth has been freshly laundered and ironed with no holes, stains or mends. The only flaw found are some of the gray embroidery floss has faded to a lighter gray color. In my opinion, rather minor.
A beautiful usable center piece tablecloth.
