Dating from the the later 1930's, 1940's or perhaps even early 1950's, a pair of pillowcases and bed sheet set. The bed linen set has never been used. Made from a store bought sheet, a row of hand crochet filet insertion lace adds a pretty detail to the cases and sheet.
Width of the crochet is 1-1/2" wide. The crochet embellishes both the front and back of the pillowcases and the width across the top edge of sheet, (from side to side) Bates label on one of the corners of the sheet, made of comb percale (cotton). Finished size is 81" wide x 100" long. Length of pillowcase is 33" long x 20-3/4" wide. No labels were found on either of the pillowcases.
The bed set is unused, however, as you notice, oxidation from years of storage. With a good soaking, this lovely set would be white as snow. No other flaws.
