I am sure a child from long ago delighted receiving this special Christmas greeting card. A card full of engaging activity to capture the attention of any boy or girl. Dating from the 1940's, the card is in the shape of a barn.
A message on the barn doors entices the child to peek inside. When the card is opened, a small envelope hold a cutout shape of a horse, turkey, rooster, cow, dog and goat. Each animal offers their friendly greeting to the child.
All pieces are made of a light cardboard stock. It must have been fun to play with the animals, as all have some creases in some way or another. The hinge of the card is the barn roof. It, too, shows the stress of opening / closing, with it almost detached. Some foxing of the card, too. Not in the best condition but so cute.
Size of the barn is 4-1/8" wide, at the widest point. Height is 3" tall. Size of the animals vary slightly but all are about 2" wide x 1-3/4" tall. Just right for small fingers.
